Tanner was always my good sleeper. He had his routine. He took a bath, said his prayers and went right to bed....then after we moved to our new house earlier this year...that all went out the window. He started crying that he didn't want to sleep in his room...He would tell us that there were monsters, or people, or even deer in his room. Then he would appear in our bedroom in the middle of the night. He would try to climb over me while I was asleep and I would wake up and take him back to his room. Then he learned that if he went to Daddy's side, Daddy would just lift him into bed and never wake up enough to realize what was going on. Then I would roll over and.....suprise there was a spare body in our bed.
Now he has gotten even sneakier....he has learned that if he crawls on the foot of the bed right in the middle he can get in completely undetected....LOL
This has been our battle for a long time.....and we are finally winning...I hope! LOL The other night Tanner was getting ready for bed and he said "I want Kitty to sleep with me!" "You do?" I asked. "Yes", he replied, "She will poop on the monsters!"
Kitty is our little toy schnauzer....who Tanner usually chases out of his room trying to spank her because she steals his toys and hides them under his bed and steals his teddy bear and runs out side with it while he chases her crying for her to give it back.
So we moved Kitty's crate into Tanners room...and for the first time in a long time...Tanner slept all night....in his own bed!
Our new routine now involves making a very unwilling Kitty go to bed at Tanner's bedtime...she is not thrilled about her new early bedtime...but hey...atleast Tanner is sleeping again! LOL
